Mariam Rasooli is an associate at Seddiq Law Firm, PLLC. She joined the firm in November 2025 and represents clients in estate planning, business law, and real estate transactions and disputes. Mariam brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to her work and is committed to helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions about their legal matters.

Mariam earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she served as the General Assembly Editor for the Public Interest Law Review and published The Way Forward: A Review of Virginia’s 2023 Regular General Assembly Session in the same journal. She was also the Vice President of the Public Interest Law Association and volunteered with the Carrico Center for Pro Bono Service, reflecting her longstanding commitment to public service.

While in law school, Mariam gained valuable experience through internships with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of the Solicitor, the Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, and congressional offices in both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. Her work included drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, preparing memoranda, supporting trial teams, and assisting with investigations all of which gave her exposure to both litigation and administrative processes.

Before attending law school, Mariam graduated cum laude from George Mason University with a degree in Global Affairs. She completed study-abroad programs in The Hague and Brussels and participated in the Global Politics Fellows program.

At Seddiq Law Firm, Mariam supports clients in preparing wills and trusts, drafting business agreements, reviewing contracts, assisting with real estate transactions, and helping resolve business and property-related disputes. She works closely with clients to understand their objectives and ensure they receive attentive, organized, and reliable legal support.

Mariam is fluent in Uzbek and proficient in Spanish and Farsi, allowing her to assist clients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. She is a member of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association.

Outside of her legal work, Mariam enjoys reading history, going to the gym, cooking desserts and Uzbeki Palow, and spending time with her family and friends.
